Based primarily on the technology, Leonard Kleinrock, a UCLA professordesigned the unproven foundations of packet networking in 1962 andordered routing in the 1970s. A two-level hierarchical routing is the bedrock of the Transmission Control Custom / Web Protocol ( TCP / IP ). It took some more enhancements and refinements of the first TCP / IP convention until TCP / IPv4 ( version 4 ) achieved the specified level of stability for the “robust, fault-tolerant anddispersed PC networks” that was the dream and goal of the USgovernment at that point and became, and still is, the standard customutilized by the Net as we all know it currently.
